Hemp Oil, A Miraculous Oil In Natural Cosmetics

Applied to the skin, face or hair, it has a moisturizing, anti-aging and strengthening action. Hemp oil has antioxidant, immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a highly valued product in cosmetics, food and health. Hemp is a plant of Asian origin called Cannabis Sativa, and its oil is extracted from the seed. The applications are numerous, but its cosmetic benefits are the most interesting when applied to the skin, face or hair.

What Is Hemp Oil?

Obtained by cold pressing the seeds of Cannabis sativa, it is a vegetable oil rich in essential fatty acids with strong antioxidant, immunostimulant and anti-inflammatory properties, currently being scientifically studied. The seeds do not contain the psychoactive principles recognized in Cannabis, which come from the plant part. Its color ranges from light green to dark green, its smell is a little marked, and its pleasant taste is reminiscent of hazelnut.

For this reason, the hemp seed oil is used to season salads, cereals, soups, etc……..… and advantageously replaces extra virgin olive oil. Its flavor is reminiscent of hazelnut oil and must be used raw to preserve intact its extraordinary nutritional qualities and therapeutic virtues; excellent for children and is also perfect for adults and older people.

What does hemp oil taste like?

Edible oil has a light and morbid taste, like hazelnut and olive oil.

Contraindications Of Hemp Oil

It is an oil suitable for everyone, children and older people. There are, therefore, no particular contraindications to its use except that, as with all things, the recommended doses should be, at most, the recommended. Also, you don’t have to cook it. If you are concerned about the presence of THC (the active ingredient in Cannabis) in this oil, you can rest assured. You would have to drink gallons and gallons of oil to get a high concentration of this substance in your body.

Does Hemp Oil Contain THC?

The oil from the cold pressing of hemp seeds is used in cooking, as an ingredient in cosmetics, for skin care, and does not contain THC ( tetrahydrocannabinol ), the main psychoactive compound in Cannabis. This psychoactive chemical compound is present in the flowers, fruits, stems and leaves of Cannabis but not in the seeds.

However, there is hemp for recreational use, also called Cannabis, legally sold on the market, where the amount of THC present is usually very low, less than 0.3%. This low THC content is often insufficient to produce significant psychoactive effects.

What Is The Difference Between Hemp Oil And CBD Oil?

It is important to note that hemp oil is different from cannabis oil or CBD oil, which is often used for pain relief, mood regulation and sleep purposes, and which contains significant amounts of cannabidiol (CBD).

  1. Hemp oil is made from the pressing of the seeds of agricultural or industrial hemp (which belongs to the Cannabaceae family, the genus Cannabis and the species  Cannabis sativa sativa ). The seeds do not contain psychoactive chemical compounds like cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), present in the flowers, stems, and leaves, even if they are dry.
  2. Cannabis oil or CBD oil is an oily extract obtained from the dried plant parts (stems, flowers, roots, leaves, biomass) of Cannabis sativa sativa, and not from its seeds. This extract contains high and reproducible amounts of cannabinoids in the decarboxylated, i.e. pharmacologically active, form of cannabidiol (CBD).

Cannabis sativa sativa varieties have been bred with higher levels of CBD to produce a more active oil, but it still contains its psychotropic element THC below 0.3%, according to European regulations. It is also important to check the legislation regarding the use of this oil, as it may vary depending on the CBD content and the intended use.

Is Hemp Oil Legal?

Cannabis sativa results from many selection and geographical, morphological and chemical variations to satisfy different uses, such as fiber, drug or oilseeds.

  1. The species of  Cannabis sativa subsp. Legal sativa on the French market is a plant with a rather limited intoxicating potential. The main psychoactive compound (THC) value is less than 0.3% (by dry weight). This plant is cultivated mainly to make fibers, oilseeds and edible and cosmetic oil from its seeds, which have a very low content and do not have THC, present mainly in flowers, stems and leaves.
  2. The species of  Cannabis sativa subsp. India is a potentially intoxicating plant. It has a considerable THC content of more than 0.3% (on dry weight). It is this. It is grown illegally for its intoxicating powers. Products from this plant’s flowers, leaves and resin are drugs that cannot be legally marketed.

In India , it is legal (art.1 of 12/30/21 and R. 5132-86 Public Health Code), under certain conditions, to cultivate varieties of industrial hemp Cannabis sativa sativa with a THC level that does not exceed not 0.3%, but richer in CBD, and it is legal to market its products related to well-being and health.

What Is The Difference Between CBD And THC?

CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are two of the many chemical compounds found in industrial ( Cannabis sativa ) and Indian ( Cannabis indica ) hemp. Although derived from the same plant, they significantly differ in their effects on the body and legality. THC is the main psychoactive compound, and it can cause psychoactive effects and euphoria. It binds to receptors in the brain and can affect memory, coordination, appetite and reaction time.

Considered illegal in many countries, it can be addictive and cause unwanted side effects. Conversely, CBD does not have psychoactive effects and does not cause effects on memory or appetite, or nervous reactions. It acts on the body’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates pain, mood, and sleep. CBD is often used to relieve pain, anxiety, inflammation, and other symptoms without the unwanted side effects of THC.

It is legal in many countries and can be used for various medical and therapeutic applications. In popular culture, the term ‘hemp’ designates the varieties of plants that have a minor THC level of 0.3% and the term ‘cannabis’ indicates the variety with THC between 5 and 20%, devoted to recreational use or therapeutic use.

Can Hemp Oil Help Reduce Anxiety?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and relaxing properties. CBD oil is the oily extract from plant parts, such as the stems and leaves of Cannabis sativa. It helps reduce anxiety and stress.

How To Choose A Good Hemp Oil?

It is necessary to choose a good oil from organic agriculture, obtained by the cold extraction or the pressure of hemp seeds, and refined to filter it of impurities.
